If you appreciate a virtuoso, you’ll love Daniel Greene. Line, perspective, texture — all are nearly flawless in his work. There is in fact, so much beauty in these paintings that one has to remind oneself that Greene’s subject is, after all, the New York City subway system. It is more in what he does with his raw subject matter rather than how he puts it on the canvas that makes Greene the consummate artist he is. — Art Times critic, Raymond Steiner
